White sand beaches, palm trees, warm breeze against your face, unlimited food and drinks and great culture are just some of the things that the Dominican Republic has to offer! Punta Cana is a town located at the Eastern most tip of the Dominican Republic and connects with both the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Punta Cana is filled with tourists year round and has some great white sand beaches, especially Bávaro Beach.


When visiting Punta Cana, here are some activities to consider to enhance your already amazing vacation:


Horseback Riding

This great activity allows you to go with your friends and/or a group of other tourists and enjoy the trot of your own horse, while taking in the beautiful white sand beaches and coastlines of Punta Cana. If you're an avid horseback rider or it's your first time, this activity welcomes all!



Zip lining

If you're an adventure seeker and love feeling the wind in your hair, this activity is worth a try. Enjoy hiking through the forest and soaring above the gigantic trees. You get the safety training needed to complete the activity, you're attached to a harness the whole time and you have your helmet to protect yourself. This is a super fun activity that will have you craving more of this wonderful experience.


ATV/Buggy Tours

Rev your engines and get ready to zip through the mud, dirt and sands along the back roads and trails in Punta Cana. Your guide will lead you through the trails and make mini stops along the way. Enjoy the speed or slow it down and enjoy the tranquil drive along this beautiful coastal town.



Swim with the Dolphins

Finally fulfill one of those lifelong dreams and go for a swim with the playful and lovable creatures - Dolphins! Get to see the tricks these wonderful animals can perform and experience from fun, basic acrobatics. You will receive some safety training when working with these animals and have a life jacket for added safety. This is definitely an experience of a lifetime!

Are you looking to experience the true Dominican lifestyle? These tours may be a good option to consider. Many of these tours offer the ability to see the countryside, visit the local markets and ranches. They provide a true Dominican lunch with many delicious meals native to the Dominican. It's a great way to experience the culture of the country and learn about their history, plantations and various industries.


City Tour to Santo Domingo

Visit the oldest city in the Americas! Experience walking through this beautiful city and learn about where the history started in America. This type of tour is perfect for the person who loves sightseeing, first-time visitors and history buffs. Visit the local shops, sit in the local square and enjoy some traditional Dominican cuisine!


Catamaran/Speedboat Tours

This tour gives you the opportunity to have multiple experiences in one place. Hop aboard the Catamaran boat that takes a slow-paced trek on the waters, allowing you to take in the sun and scenery from a different perspective. Head inside the boat for drinks, music and a more party type atmosphere. Stop in the sea, get out and have some fun in the water with the aquatic life before heading back on the boat to continue your trip. Once you're ready to head back, switch gears and head on the speedboat back to your starting destination! It gives you the best of both worlds - speed and relaxation!


Nightlife

Nightlife in the Bávaro area adds another element to the beach life. Sun and sea by day and party by night. The options are endless. There are so many different nightclubs, such as underground caves turned into clubs, vegas-style shows and wine bars. There is something for everyone. If you’re not up for venturing out of the resort, look at the bars and nightclubs located right where you are and party until the wee hours of the night.


Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, is a beautiful resort town that offers so much to its tourists. There is something for everyone and provides so much added culture to your experience. While all these activities are excellent, you always want to keep your personal safety in mind. When travelling anywhere, you want to make sure you do your research, stick with your group or people you trust and look out for each other. Be aware of your surroundings and never put yourself in a position that you cannot get out of. If you have never been to the Dominican, it's definitely a place to consider.
