CN Tower
The CN Tower is one of Canada's most recognized and celebrated landmarks. It stands at a height of 553.33m (1,815ft5in) and is the signature figure in the Toronto Skyline.
The CN Tower was opened to the public on June 26, 1976 and has several million visitors each year.
You can visit the observation deck, that allows you to take in the break taking views of the surrounding area, stand on the glass floor that allows you to see straight down to the floor or complete the daring excursion of the edge walk.
Once you're done taking in all the experiences this tower has to offer, you can grab a bite to eat in the 360 Restaurant located at the top of the tower and visit the gift shop to grab some much needed souvenirs to remember your experience.
Casa Loma
This beautiful and majestic castle in the city is another must see landmark in Toronto. You can visit at anytime of year but remember that because it is a castle, there is no central air (AC or Heat), so you will want to dress for the weather.
This castle was built by Sir Henry Pellatt before World War 1 and was once considered the largest family residence in Canada. It sits on 5 acres of land with an outdoor garden and many areas that are accessible to visitors. One thing to consider when visiting the castle is that there may be some accessibility issues. Your best best is to check their website or be prepared to be limited in some of the areas that you may be able to see.
Royal Ontario Museum
The Royal Ontario Museum is one of Canada's largest museums and is located in the heart of downtown Toronto. It has several interesting exhibits and various treasures on display.
If you are traveling with your family and kids, bringing things like baby bags and strollers are allowed and welcomed.
If you are not visiting with the kids, the ROM also offers events on Friday nights if you are 19+. You can plan ahead for a regular visit or event by visiting the ROM's website and purchasing your tickets in advance.
The Ontario Science Centre
The Ontario Science Centre is an innovative centre for learning and sparking that curiosity about all things science.

Toronto Islands: Centre Island
Centre Island is one of the top Toronto Islands to visit. You can take a ferry to and from the main land to the island several times a day. This attraction is super busy, so keep in mind that you may have to arrive early to catch the ferry and try to avoid some of the long lines.

Distillery District

The Distillery District is a pedestrian only district in the city that once housed a Whiskey Distillery. It is lined with various restaurants and shops, offers daily tours that explain the history of the district and more and has many photo taking opportunities.
There are various art sculptures that are scattered throughout the district and during the winter, here is where you will find the annual Toronto Christmas Market.
This is definitely a place to visit because it gives off that old time European feel and makes you feel like you are in a whole new place and not in downtown Toronto.
Kensington Market
Kensington Market is a bohemian neighbourhood that attracts various artists and tourists to its indie shops, vintage boutiques and arts spaces. If you're looking for that one of a kind piece or something not entirely mainstream, here is the place to look.
The Market is also the home to specialty grocers, bakeries and cheese shops.
You can also find trendy bars, cafes and restaurants that make for a great outing with friends and family.
